The original concept for my design context publication was just to be filled with all the studios that have influenced me other my time on the course, broken down by the actual studio itself, conducting interviews into each studios about how they run their practice.
New Concept:
to give the book more of a concept than just a book filled with studios, and more related to me and my time on the course; The book will be titled 2013 [year of graduation...] and will be 20 influential design studios from 13 countries.
Being broken down by the countries themselves.
The book will also relate more to my own personal practice, with my style of design is very experimental and visual, and a real challenge behind my design work is how to make this aesthetically based design function as succesful graphic design. Each of the studios within the book will be of a similar practice, all designing for the culture sector and music sector where being experimental with outcomes is ok however they have all managed to find the perfect balance between aesthetic and functionality. Interviews will be conducted on how they going about achieving functional design and their opinions on design that is strictly based on aesthetics.
