Struggling with the brief we went up to the mac suite to ask on of the technicians for some software help on how to produce these radiowave style shapes, he showed us a few examples of software including; scripts, cinema 4d, liquify, and other coding programmes then also this illustrator trick which i had forgot about. Where you use the 3d revolve tool then change it to linear to produce these pretty nice shapes, here are some experiments using this technique.
